Does SpotHero have a promo code?
Sometimes, but not in the way most coupon sites suggest. SpotHero's biggest, most consistent discount isn't a mystery code you have to go hunting for — it's a first-time-user offer built into the app. Beyond that, most "active" codes floating around the internet are either expired, restricted to certain users, or tied to a specific event or city.
Quick Answer
Most ReliableNew users get roughly 10% off their first reservation, capped at $5, when booking through the SpotHero mobile app (not the website). It's applied automatically or entered at checkout — no need to track down a code from a third-party site.
Legitimate ways to save on SpotHero
First-time app discount
~10% off, up to $5 — new accounts only, valid one time, app bookings only. Excludes monthly and business reservations.
Student discount
Verify your status through Student Beans, then apply the resulting code at checkout on the app or website.
Commuter benefits
If your employer offers pre-tax commuter benefits, loading that card into SpotHero can save you up to 40% on regular commuting parking.
Referral credit
Inviting friends can earn promotional credit, though SpotHero has noted this program is being reworked — check the app for current terms.
Book ahead of time
This isn't a code at all: SpotHero's pre-booked rates at partner locations already run well below walk-up drive-up prices, especially for airport and event parking.
Seasonal / event promos
SpotHero occasionally runs promo codes tied to a specific city, airport, or event weekend, sent by email or app notification.
Why so many "SpotHero promo codes" don't work
Codes seen on coupon-aggregator sites are frequently expired, tied to one person's account, restricted to app-only checkout, or limited to a single use. Some are also generated for older promotions and never removed from the page. A code can look "verified today" on one of these sites and still fail at your checkout, since availability is often account- or region-specific.
Before you rely on a code, check
Verify FirstAre you booking through the app or the website? Many discounts are app-only. Is this your first reservation? Most of the largest discounts are new-user only. Does the code mention your city, airport, or an event? Some are geo- or event-restricted and won't apply elsewhere.
If a code doesn't apply, it's rarely worth troubleshooting for long — the first-time app discount is usually the most dependable offer available, and pre-booking itself already beats the walk-up rate at most garages.
