Soldier Field Parking Rates

Event-day parking rates for the official Museum Campus lots and nearby off-site lots at Soldier Field.

How much is parking at Soldier Field?

Parking at Soldier Field in Chicago costs about $22 to $25 per vehicle on a non-event day at the shared Museum Campus lots, which also serve the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium. On Chicago Bears game days, those same lots typically jump to $45-$50 with advance pre-pay, and can run $55-$60 at the gate if spots are still available. Concerts and Chicago Fire matches usually land lower than Bears rates, often in the $30-$45 range.

Like most stadium parking, official lots price by the event rather than by the hour, and passes for Bears games and Fire matches are mobile-only, so plan to have your pass loaded on your phone before you arrive rather than printed out. Lots typically open two to three hours before kickoff or showtime.

Use our interactive Soldier Field Parking Calculator below to quickly estimate your total parking cost. Whether you're heading to a single Bears or Fire match, a concert, or planning several events this season, comparing your expected fees in advance can help you budget effectively and find the best option for your day out.

What is the cheapest parking at Soldier Field?

The cheapest way to park near Soldier Field is usually a distant South Loop or McCormick Place lot, where rates can start around $12-$15, at the cost of a 10-30 minute walk. Among the official Museum Campus lots, Grant Park North and Grant Park South tend to run the regular posted daily rate rather than event pricing, though they don't include a shuttle. Note that the free Bears courtesy shuttle was discontinued starting with the 2026 season, so plan on walking from most non-shuttle lots.

Ways to Pay Less for Soldier Field Parking

Because gate-day prices run well above advance pricing, buying your pass online before the event is the single best way to avoid the highest walk-up rate, whether you're going to a game or a concert. Passes are mobile-only, so load yours into your phone's wallet ahead of time.

If you're willing to walk a bit farther, choosing a lot away from the stadium bowl — Grant Park, Millennium, or a South Loop lot — is usually the most cost-effective choice, and several of the closer garages still run the free GEICO Gameday Shuttle to Soldier Field on Bears game days.

Fans heading to Soldier Field can also look into off-site lots near the South Loop and Museum Campus, such as those listed in the Pay To Park App, which are frequently cheaper than the official lots and can help you avoid the slow crawl out of the Museum Campus after the event.

Finally, it may be best to skip parking altogether. Metra Electric runs to the Museum Campus/11th St station a short walk from the stadium, and Metra is the official transit partner for Fire matches with additional Electric Line stops nearby. Weigh the parking price against transit or a round-trip rideshare, especially if you're traveling solo or in a small group. The designated rideshare drop-off and pickup area is the 18th Street turnaround, just west of Lake Shore Drive.

Not sure if you should drive, take Metra or the CTA, or request a ride? Use our Soldier Field Parking vs. Rideshare Cost Calculator below to compare your expected parking fee against a round-trip Uber or Lyft and transit fares for your group. Keep in mind that rideshare prices can surge after the event lets out, so the estimate you enter for your ride home matters.
