Free park and ride in Salt Lake City, Utah

The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) offers free parking for people who are using its trains and buses. This page lists the TRAX, FrontRunner and bus park and ride lots around Salt Lake City with their street addresses, taken from UTA's own Park and Ride page.

Good to know: lots are for UTA customers actively riding that day, a transit pass is not a parking pass, and parking to visit a nearby business or home can mean a fine of $50 or more. About 95 more lots are owned by LDS churches, with no Sunday parking; find those addresses on UTA's site.

Extended park and ride lots (multi-day parking)

These station lots allow multi-day parking. If you will leave a vehicle for more than seven days, tell UTA first.

Day-use park and ride lots

Day-use lots are meant for parking while you ride on the same day.

Non-rail park and ride lots

These lots connect to bus service rather than a TRAX or FrontRunner station.

Yes. UTA offers free parking for active transit users. Some lots allow single-day parking and others allow extended multi-day parking.

How long can I park at a UTA park and ride?

Extended lots allow multi-day parking. If you plan to leave a vehicle for more than seven days, complete UTA's Extended Park and Ride Form or notify UTA Police at 801-287-3937 first. Day-use lots are for the day you ride.
